Fraunhofer UMSICHT with lecture at Biochar-Summit

Fraunhofer UMSICHT participated in this year's Biochar-Summit in Helsingborg, which was organized by European Biochar Industry Consortium EBI, the Nordic Biochar Network and the City of Helsingborg. Dr. rer. nat. Sophie Schönfeld from Fraunhofer UMSICHT gave a lecture on the topic of »From Waste to use: application potentials of biochars from different residues ob-tained by thermo-catalytic reforming (TCR®)«.

The content of the presentation was about introducing the TCR®-Technology (Thermo-Catalytic Reforming) and showed analyses of different biochars from various residues. Based on the composition of the biochar, different application potentials are possible.  Besides possible fields of application the results from the planting trials with maize of the Fraunhofer UMSICHT Projekt »Fertimanure« were presented.
