Our top topics: Road construction waste containing tar and chemical recycling
Fraunhofer UMSICHT Sulzbach-Rosenberg is represented at 2 stands and with 6 presentations at IFAT 2024 in Munich:
Road demolition containing tar
At IFAT, Fraunhofer UMSICHT is presenting an innovative technology for the treatment of road construction waste containing tar. For the first time, a large-scale demonstration plant will be presented to the public, which was developed and built as part of Fraunhofer's own InnoTeer research project. The partner for the industrialization of the technology is Grenzebach Maschinenbau GmbH.

Spotlight on chemical recycling
VDMA exhibition stand: Hall B4 | 338/239
In cooperation with the VDMA and the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Circular Plastics Economy CCPE, we will be presenting innovative technologies for the recycling of plastics and the downstream processing of products from recycling processes at the VDMA stand in the Spotlight Area Chemical Recycling. One highlight is the Fraunhofer technology cascade, in which solvent-based processes, solvolysis and pyrolysis are combined. Representatives from Fraunhofer CCPE will be on site at the VDMA stand on all days of the fair.
Lecture program and guided tours:
